The Connecticut Coalition Against Crumbling Basements (CCACB) is a grassroots alliance committed to providing a voice for victims of failing concrete in our region.

We seek solutions to restore the financial value of affected homes without forcing homeowners into bankruptcy. Basement walls must be replaced to mend not just the structural integrity of the homes, but also the fiscal stability of towns in northeastern Connecticut, which could see mill rates increase as damaged homes become uninhabitable.

Additionally, we hope to encourage state leaders to institute better standards for testing concrete and maintaining records of projects poured in Connecticut. This could help prevent a similar crisis in the future or at least better understand the magnitude of the problem.
